Community garden club — Saugatuck & Douglas, Michigan
Founded in 1928, the Saugatuck Douglas Garden Club promotes the use of flora to enrich and beautify Saugatuck, Douglas, and the surrounding areas. Its more than 85 members organize the annual Garden Walk and plant sale, maintain downtown flowerpots and public spaces, recognize outstanding private gardens, fund two scholarships for local high-school students, and host monthly educational programs and field trips.
